This sensor is suitable for permanent food contact and much used with BlastChiller. BlastChiller is used in kitchens and is a very small Cold room with huge cooling capacity. The sensor spear is inserted into the food and ensure that the food is cooled until the desired core temperature is reached.

In this sensor there is no build in heating element, if there is not heating and food temperature is freezing it can be difficult to remove the spear when chilling process is completed.
