The Carel NTC sensor model *WH* can be used for both air and water applikations. The sensitive element is of metal and due to the design usable in all kind of positions. Therefore Carel also offer a socket used with water tanks. Attached this product presentation you find a diagram of this socket.

This NTC sensor has a temperaturrange between -50 and +105 degree. The cable of the sensor is 6m long and the sensitive element is made of metal, 6cm long and with a diameter of 6mm. The index of protection is IP68.
